I couldn't let the year close without wishing you all a Happy New Year!  Isn't it amazing how quickly this year of 2009 went by?  Today I've been thinking back over the year to see what happened and was surprised to remember the following:

*  Last January we had a 13" snow fall and my office closed for two days.
* My DH lost his job right before the new year, so we were still adjusting to a single paycheck.
* I had an outbreak of cold sores on my upper lip that matched no other. Boy did they hurt! Ouch!
*I did LOTS of workshops this past year
*Added the Shelbyville Stampers stamp club to the mix - can you say FUN?
* Took a Florida vacation in May...where it proceeded to R-A-I-N for 6 of the 7 days we were there.
* I did a re-design on the blog.  I still love my new look!
* Because of all my customers and friends, I walked the stage at Convention for the $20K award!
* In August had a week-long round of the flu, which in retrospect, I think was the H1N1 variety!
* Held another successful Summer Stampede.
* DH found work at Menards in late July.
* November had me posting EVERY DAY mentioning something I was thankful for.  28 out of 30 days!
*Excited to have my bathroom totally remodeled!
*Yesterday, traded cars!  Kept to a Saturn VUE, but had to give up the bird on the back! :-(

Pretty, huh?

So, alot happened in MY year 2009.  I challenge each of you to think back and name 5 things that come to mind of things that you remember.  I can't wait to see what 2010 brings.  It will be back to WeightWatchers for me on Saturday, then I will set up my Wii Fit Plus to start my exercise regimen.  Ambitious, I know.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

We had a wonderful holiday, filled with family and friends and lots of laughter and good food!

Everyone cut back on their gift spending this year, and no one seemed to notice.  My family always draws names for our gift exchange, and the nephew who got our name hit a homerun with an assortment of blue and brown towels and wash clothes.  They will look really nice in the newly remodeled bathroom!

I, of course, had to make a "little something" for the girls in the family so decided on the cute little 3"x3" thank you cards that I saw online.  I went a bit further and made a matching box to put them in, and then made a larger box to put that box in with a little bag of a yummy trail mix.  Everyone seemed to like them alot.  The 3"x3" cards are such a cute size and one I don't make alot of.  Why don't I?  Beats me! :-)  Aren't they cute?

I am taking a break from preparing for my Sunday Stampers stamp club meeting later this afternoon.  2-3" of snow is forecast, so fingers crossed everyone can get here with no trouble.  I have two of my four projects cut and prepped.  Getting ready to go in an prepare directions for the easel card which is sorta the technique for this month, then will only need one more.  Stamp clubs are so fun!  All three of my clubs are great, and they would disagree, but each is talented in their own way.  I love seeing their take on my samples.  Such fun!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday week.  Tomorrow is back to work!

A quick post to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!  Here's hoping you all have your shopping done and wrapped, with the food and treats all cooked and waiting.  Okay, back to reality!  If you are like me, I do have the shopping done, but nothing is wrapped and my house is a total wreck!

We will be going to my sister's house this evening for my family's gathering, then in the morning, DS and DDIL will come over early for our exchange, then DH's mom and brother and his family will be over later for a huge breakfast and small gift exchange.

I always luck out with the Christmas cooking, because for Christmas Eve it is always a pitch in, so this year I am bringing my famous glazed fruit salad.  The Christmas breakfast is always cooked by my DH, so again, I luck out and just fix toast or something important like that!

So here's wishing you all a Merry Christmas and hoping that if you are traveling you arrive safely at your destination.  Enjoy the time with family and friends, and be sure to remember the real reason for the season.

Merry Christmas!
